Well-Being Index (WBI)

The Well-Being Index (WBI)

The smart measurement system known as the Well-Being Index breaks down what is happening inside you in percentages. It's a simpler, clearer way for you to track your mental state, and uncover your patterns along the way.

Interpreting the report

A score, in the form of a percentage, is assigned for each topic, with 100% as a theoretical “best” score. It's important to view your score for each topic in relative terms – that is, in comparison to the others. The topics with the lowest scores become your focus points: these are the areas where you can make the most improvement.

The Deep Report, which you'll receive automatically once a month, offers more context for these raw numbers. It contains a clear description of what's going on behind your current state and, at the bottom, actionable advice on how to make progress.

Once Kalmoa has aggregated enough anonymous data, a few months after our launch, you’ll also be able to compare your score with others in the same category (based on age and biological sex). This will give you a broader perspective on how you can relate to others like you, and which areas of focus are most unique to you.

Long-term progress

If you’re working on developing your mental well-being, it’s only natural that there will be ups and downs. Especially if you want to change long-standing and ingrained habits, it takes time. Give yourself that time.

As you progress, you will reach higher and lighter levels of living, and your body and the WBI will adapt to each higher / lighter level. It may seem like your score on a particular topic is dropping, but that often means that you have just leveled up. Compare it, for example, to a pay scale: when you move up to a higher pay scale, you start at the bottom of that new tier. It then takes time to move up within that scale as well. What remains important, in the case of the WBI, is how the scores compare across topics.
